The crimes of infamous serial killer Charlie Cullen will be on display in Netflix’s upcoming crime drama film “The Good Nurse” in late October. Eddie Redmayne will play the role of the notorious killer alongside Jessica Chastain playing Amy Loughren, the fellow nurse who had a huge role in stopping the killer.
Spanning a 16-year career as a nurse in New Jersey bouncing between nine hospitals, Charlie Cullen confessed to murdering 40 of his patients but further investigating revealed that the number was much higher and Cullen was responsible for around 400 deaths. Based on Charles Graeber’s 2014 book The Good Nurse: A True Story of Medicine, Madness, and Murder, the Netflix film depicts how nurse Amy ” risks her own life to uncover the truth” and reveals Charlie’s criminal intent.
Kim Dickens, Noah Emmerich, Malik Yoba, Ajay Naidu, Nnamdi Asomugha, Marcia Jean Kurtz, Maurice J. Irvin, Brooke Stacy Mills, Victor Cruz, and Gabe Fazio appear in “The Good Nurse” directed by Tobias Lindholm streaming on Netflix on October 26, 2022.
