Al Yankovic is one of those artists who made a way for himself in mainstream music and media by being nothing but himself which boils down to it is, well weird, and in early November “the world belongs to the weird” when Roku releases its original film “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story” starring Daniel Radcliffe as the title character.
The Roku Original “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story” film “explores every facet of Yankovic’s life, from his meteoric rise to fame with early hits like ‘Eat It’ and ‘Like a Surgeon’ to his torrid celebrity love affairs and famously depraved lifestyle.”
David Bloom plays young Al with James Preston Rogers as Hulk Hogan, Dot-Marie Jones as Mama Bear, Evan Rachel Wood as Madonna, and Quinta Brunson as Oprah Winfrey. Will Forte, Toby Huss, Rainn Wilson, Julianne Nicholson, Spencer Treat Clark, and Al Yankovic himself will play key roles in the movie streaming on the Roku Channel on Friday, November 4.
