Get ready to experience Pinocchio like never before in the upcoming live-action film coming to Disney+ next month during a special celebration.
In 2021, Walt Disney Company launched Disney+ Day, a virtual celebration of the global brand where exclusive announcements, featured content, “special experiences and offers for subscribers and fans,” and more are revealed. The event returns on Thursday, September 8 with new content coming to Disney+ streaming service and the live-action “Pinocchio” is one of those projects.
Academy Award winner Robert Zemeckis directs a retelling of “Pinocchio” with Tom Hanks, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Cynthia Erivo starring in the film. The tale of the wooden puppet embarking on a journey to become a real boy never looked so magical. I wasn’t the biggest fan of “Pinocchio.” I’ve probably only seen the original animated film a few times as a child, so nothing really sticks out about the story, but when “When You Wish Upon a Star” started playing in the second trailer I got chills and since this will be streaming on Disney+ I’ll have to check this out.
Keegan-Michael Key, Lorraine Bracco, Luke Evans, Kyanne Lamaya, Jaquita Ta’Le, Giuseppe Battiston, and Lewin Lloyd also star in “Pinocchio,” streaming on Disney+ on Thursday, September 8.
Watch the second trailer for the Disney+ live-action “Pinocchio” in the clip below. Will you be streaming “Pinocchio” on Disney+ Day? Share your thoughts in the comments.
