“Mystery, mayhem, and murder,” what else could you ask for in a series based around Wednesday Addams?
Jenna Ortega will step into the role of the notoriously dark character Wednesday Addams for Wednesday, the Tim Burton-directed live-action series for Netflix. The show follows “Wednesday Addams’ years as a student when she attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart and solve the mystery that embroiled her parents.” The official teaser trailer shows the events that led up to Wednesday getting expelled from regular school and being sent to Nevermore Academy.
I didn’t know what to really expect from Wednesday, but this show looks a lot darker than I presumed and I’m here for it. The teaser is giving the best version of Tim Burton with an illuminating display of monochrome visuals splashed with vivid imagery of pandemonium. This is going to be a good one.
Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzman, Emma Myers, Thora Birch, Percy Hynes White, Riki Lindhome, Joy Sunday, Jamie McShane, Isaac Ordonez, George Burcea, Victor Dorobantu, Gwendoline Christie, and Christina Ricci all appear in Wednesday coming to Netflix this Fall. Snap snap.
