Guillermo del Toro’s Netflix Anthology Series ‘Cabinet of Curiosities’ Is The Perfect Spooky Season Treat

Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming Netflix anthology series Cabinet of Curiosities is a perfectly splendid treat for Spooky Season and horror lovers.

In the first look, Guillermo Del Toro shares some insight into what to expect in the collection of “sinister stories.” He said, “Cabinet of Curiosities is a show that I always wanted to make. And this anthology we gave ownership of each episode to the directors. Each of the episodes has a whole world they present you with different delights. Some are savory, some are sweet. You’ll get a surprise from each of the bites.”

The first season of Cabinet of Curiosities will feature 8 episodes with 8 different directors. “The Autopsy” directed by David Prior, “The Outside” directed by Ana Lily Amirpour, “The Viewing” directed by Panos Cosmatos, “Dreams In The Witch House” directed by Catherine Hardwicke, “Lot 36” directed by Guillermo Navarro, “Pickman’s Model” directed by Keith Thomas, “Graveyard Rats” directed by Vincenzo Natali, and “The Murmuring” directed by Jennifer Kent will be the episodes for the premiere season.

“With Cabinet of Curiosities what I’m trying to say is look, the world is beautiful and horrible at exactly the same time,” del Toro also mentioned in the first look. Crispin Glover, DJ Qualls, Nia Vardalos, Martin Starr, Essie Davis, Rupert Grint, Andrew Lincoln, Charlyne Yi, Kate Micucci, Sofia Boutella, F. Murray Abraham, Ben Barnes, Tim Blake Nelson, Peter Weller, Elpidia Carrillo, Ish Morris, Megan Many and Eric André are slated to appear in the show.

New episodes of Cabinet of Curiosities stream daily starting Tuesday, October 25 only on Netflix.
