Nathalie Emmanuel Stumbles Upon A Terrifying Family Tree In ‘The Invitation’

It’s safe to say we all have some pretty interesting family dynamics but in the upcoming horror film “The Invitation” the main character might have us beat.

Nathalie Emmanuel stars as Evie in “The Invitation” directed by Jessica M. Thompson and written by Blair Butler. When Evie loses her mother she seeks out relatives for comfort by taking a DNA test to discover her family. The results bring Evie a long-lost cousin who later invites her to a lavish English countryside wedding. Upon arriving Evie meets a very handsome aristocrat host (Thomas Doherty) who seduces her, which I so get, and ends up in the midst of a twisted family ritual she’ll have to fight her way out of.

From the trailer, it’s clear this movie is giving vampire horror, but if they want me to be scared then they should have NOT put Thomas Doherty in the film because I would turn into a life of blood-sucking for him.

Stephanie Corneliussen, Alana Boden, Courtney Taylor, and Hugh Skinner also appear in “The Invitation” in theaters on Friday, August 26.
