“Did you ever wonder where every great fairytale begins? Where the good become heroes? And the evil become villains.” Slip on your glass slippers and dust off your poison apples for entry into “The School for Good and Evil.”
The first official teaser for the Paul Feig directed “The School for Good and Evil” starring Charlize Theron, Kerry Washington, Sophia Anne Caruso and Sofia Wylie was released during Netflix’s Geeked Week. Based on the international best selling book series, “The School for Good and Evil” follows Sophie (Caruso) and Agatha (Wylie), two best friends who end up on opposite sides of the modern fairy tale when they are recruited into an enchanted school that trains young heroes and villains to protect the balance of good and evil.
I must admit I didn’t know about the book series by Soman Chainani on which the film is based before this iteration was announced, but from the gist of the concept it’s giving Once Upon A Time vibes and one thing to know about me is that I am unconditionally and irrevocably in love with Once Upon A Time, so count me in on this project.
Rachel Bloom, Michelle Yeoh, Laurence Fishburne, Ben Kingsley, and Patti LuPone also appear in “The School for Good and Evil” coming to Netflix in September.
