It’s that time of year when Time magazine reveals their 100 Most Influential People. This year Zendaya, Mary J. Blige, Simu Liu, Mia Mottley, and Tim Cook each got covers leading the pack of powerful people, but because this is technically a Zendaya fan page the focus of this post is about her.
With words written by “Dune” director Denis Villeneuve describing Zendaya as “timeless” and “a cultural icon in the making,” the 25-year-old Emmy winning actress talked about highlights of her life in the past year in an accompanying video. The Venice Film Festival, “Spider-Man: No Way Home” premiere, and working on Euphoria were among her highlights. “I will definitely credit Euphoria to I think my interest not only in directing but also more things behind the camera and I get to watch Marcell Rev, our DP who is extraordinary.” I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before Zendaya will add director to her list of accomplishments.
The list of Time’s 100 Most Influential People is broken down into six categories: artists, innovators, titans, leaders, icons, and pioneers. Names on the list include Kris Jenner, Jazmine Sullivan, Pete Davidson, Mila Kunis, Taika Waititi, Oprah Winfrey, Joe Biden, Issa Rae, Adele, and more. See the full list HERE.
