Over the weekend Natasha Lyonne hosted the season finale of Saturday Night Live with musical guest Japanese Breakfast. The episode not only wrapped the 47th season of the iconic live sketch comedy series created by Lorne Michaels, but it also bid adieu to four major comedic actors from the show.
Kate McKinnon, Kyle Mooney, Aidy Bryant, and Pete Davidson did their final appearances on Saturday’s show each having sketches really highlighting them where they got to say their goodbyes. Davidson in particular reverted to his music spoof ways with another Eminem parody to give a special shout-out to Lorne.
Lyonne approached Davidson in the sketch informing him about a distraught Lorne Michaels who always wanted to do a music video with Pete, so he obliges with “Forgot About Lorne,” a spoof of Dr. Dre’s “Forgot About Dre” featuring Eminem. The Detroit-born rapper even made an appearance at the end of the clip to share how he really feels about Pete’s interpretation of his hits.
This isn’t Davidson’s first time spoofing Eminem tracks though. In December 2020 he did “Stu,” a sketch about writing a letter to Santa asking for a PS5 to the backdrop of “Stan.” In March 2021 Davidson explained cryptocurrency with a rap called “NFTS” which spoofed Em’s “Without Me.”
