Since 1976 Weird Al, born Alfred Matthew Yankovic, has been a staple in the comedic singing movement. To be honest, I can’t think of anyone who had a career quite like Weird Al, but I don’t know much about his life outside of his parody hits. That’s all about to change thanks to the upcoming Roku Channel Original “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.”
Daniel Radcliffe takes on the role of bringing Weird Al’s story to life. The film “explores every facet of Yankovic’s life, from his meteoric rise to fame with early hits like ‘Eat It’ and ‘Like a Surgeon’ to his torrid celebrity love affairs and famously depraved lifestyle.” Evan Rachel Wood will appear in the film as Madonna, along with Julianne Nicholson and Rainn Wilson.
“Weird: The Al Yankovic Story” is expected to come to The Roku Channel this fall.
