One thing to know about me is I love a BBC film or TV series. I don’t what is it about those United Kingdom projects but they usually are all hits. It’s rare I come across a dud so that’s why I’ll be giving Hulu’s upcoming series Conversations with Friends a chance.
Conversations with Friends comes from the award-winning team behind Hulu’s wildly popular BBC series Normal People starring Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar-Jones. I got into Normal People about a month ago after giving it another go and it turned out to be really good, so Conversations with Friends will be a tough act to follow. The series follows 21-year-old college student Frances (Alison Oliver) as she navigates relationships with her partner Bobbi (Sasha Lane) and the unexpected dynamic that is added when the pair befriend married couple, Melissa and Nick (Jemima Kirke and Joe Alwyn).
Shows like this are definitely an acquired taste, but once you get into them you get into them.
Watch the official trailer for Hulu’s Conversations with Friends coming to the streaming service on Sunday, May 15, 2022. Will you be adding this show to your watch list? Share your thoughts in the comments.
