I don’t post a lot, or hardly at all, about the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe). I’m a fairly new fan of the film franchise and I’m not at a hardcore level as the devoted fandom can be to know all the ins and outs, but I like what I like and I really like Spider-Man.
Before, Tobey Maguire was “my Spider-Man.” I saw all his films when they came out in the 2000’s, but I wasn’t obsessed. I saw Andrew Garfield’s “The Amazing Spider-Man” right before I saw “Spider-Man: No Way Home.” Again, still not obsessed. It took Tom Holland and his “Spider-Man” trilogy of films to make me absolutely mental about “Spider-Man.” Also, my obsession with Holland and Zendaya interacting adds fuel to that fire. Ok, so there’s a little backstory on why I’m posting about “Spider-Man” all of a sudden. (Sheesh I just Spider-Man A LOT in this paragraph)
The digital release of “Spider-Man: No Way Home” has brought a ton of never before seen content to the internet. One video, in particular, is a joy to watch. Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon aka Peter Parker, MJ, and Ned sat down together to watch their audition tapes for the first film in their MCU trilogy, “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” The actors were in hysterics getting to view the start of their journey in the MCU. It was pretty funny to see them so young and hoping for the opportunity of a lifetime to play these characters.
Watch Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon look back on their “Spider-Man: Homecoming” audition tapes and absolutely lose it in the clip below. How do you think their tapes were? Share your thoughts in the comments.
