One thing about Korean culture in regards to horror is that the dark side of the spirit world will always be explored somehow. In Sony’s upcoming film “Umma” you should beware of becoming your mother.
Sandra Oh stars as Amanda who lives a quiet farm life with her daughter (Fivel Stewart). One day Amanda received word that her estranged mother has died when someone shows up at her private residence with her remains. There’s clearly some deeply rooted trauma Amanda has with her mother that’s starting to manifest through her relationship with her own daughter with eerie outcomes.
MeeWha Alana Lee, Tom Yi, Odeya Rush and Dermot Mulroney also star in “Umma.”
Watch the official trailer for “Umma” exclusively in theaters on March 18, 2022 in the clip below. Are you a fan of Korean horror films? Share your thoughts in the comments.
