Judd Apatow’s Upcoming Netflix Film “The Bubble” Combines Satire With All-Star Cast

Earlier this week Netflix released a teaser trailer for a film called “Cliff Beasts 6.” The trailer featured some well-known faces but the footage looked absolutely ridiculous. I never heard of the first five “Cliff Beasts” films so I was super confused. I even went on IMDb to find out more information about the film. The first hint that something was off should have been the release date, April 1, but there was more to the film than I realized.

Judd Apatow and Pam Brady wrote an upcoming comedic film, with Apatow directing, called “The Bubble.” The plot follows a group of actors and actresses making a film, “Cliff Beasts 6,” at a posh hotel in England during the pandemic. Stuck in “a pandemic bubble,” the film is desperately trying to see completion all while the stars of the project are slowly losing it.

The all-star cast includes Pedro Pascal, Karen Gillan, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Mann, Iris Apatow, David Duchovny, Peter Serafinowicz, Keegan-Michael Key, Rob Delaney, Fred Armisen, and Maria Bakalova.

“The Bubble” is slated to stream on Netflix Friday, April 1, 2022.
