After what seems like ages, Netflix’s beloved series Stranger Things is returning for season 4 this summer with a super-sized two-part event.
On social media creators of the show, Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer had a special message for fans. “Hi nerds! Do you copy? It’s been a little while,” the post started continuing to add the process it took to create the upcoming season. “With nine scripts, over eight-hundred pages, almost two years of
filming, thousands of visual effects shots, and a runtime nearly twice the length of any previous season, Stranger Things 4 was the most challenging season yet, but also the most rewarding one. Everyone involved is incredibly proud of the results, and we can’t wait to share it with you.”

With season 4 being as long as expected it will be split into two volumes. Season 4 Volume One will release on May 27th and Volume Two will be released on July 1st. And with that being said, all good things must come to an end. Five seasons was always the intended arc for Stranger Things and the show will conclude with season 5. “Season 4 will be the penultimate season; season 5 will be the last. There are still many more exciting stories to tell within the world of Stranger Things; new mysteries, new adventures, new unexpected heroes. But first we hope that you stay with us as we finish this
tale of a powerful girl named Eleven and her brave friends, of a broken police chief and a ferocious mom, of a small town called Hawkins and an alternate dimension known only as the Upside Down.”
Along with the date reveal, official series posters were released teasing what’s to come. I’m sure it’s some clues as to what’s going on, but I’m just going to wait until May for it all to unfold.
