A Vacay Takes A Turn For The Worst In Netflix’s ‘The Weekend Away’ Starring Leighton Meester

Vacations are supposed to be fun right? Especially if it’s a bestie vacay but in the case of an upcoming Netflix movie these women would have been better off staying home.

“The Weekend Away” stars Leighton Meester as Beth and Christina Wolfe as Kate, two best friends who go on vacation to Croatia. What starts out as a once-in-a-lifetime trip turns into a nightmare when one friend turns up missing and the other has to prove her innocence.

Directed by Kim Farrant, the film is based on the best-selling novel ‘The Weekend Away’ by Sarah Alderson who also wrote the screenplay. The trailer seems to give the entire movie away, but I’m hoping for some unexpected twists and turns because I love a good thriller.
