GGB’s 25 Days of Christmas Watch List: Into the Dark: A Nasty Piece of Work

Blumhouse’s Into the Dark is one of my favorite anthology series. Episodes are full-length horror films inspired by a holiday. “A Nasty Piece of Work” is a Christmas-inspired episode and that’s why it made GGB’s 25 Days of Christmas Watch List.

Steven (Julian Sands) is the eccentric boss of a private equity company. During the holidays’ Steven and his even more outrageous wife Kiwi (Molly Hagan) host a very special dinner party for two rival employees. Timid Ted (Kyle Howard) feels he is owed a promotion and brings along his wife Tatum (Angela Sarafyan) for support to the party. The outspoken Gavin (Dustin Milligan) also shows up to the party with his trophy wife Missy (Natalie Hall) hoping to secure the promotion for himself.

The evening sparks a violent competition of bizarre scenarios between the employees to weed out the best with one unexpected twist after the other. I enjoyed every aspect of the Into the Dark series, but this episode I could watch over and over because it’s so funny and who doesn’t need a laugh during the holidays. Where to watch: Hulu
