GGB’s 25 Days of Christmas Watch List: The Best Man Holiday

Christmas time isn’t always merry. Sometimes it’s bittersweet and that’s the case for “The Best Man Holiday.”

Taye Diggs, Nia Long, Morris Chestnut, Harold Perrineau, Terrence Howard, Sanaa Lathan, Monica Calhoun, Melissa De Sousa and Regina Hall all returned to reprise their roles in the sequel to the film “The Best Man” that changed the film industry back in 1999. This time around Eddie Cibrian was added to the perfect cast and served a very important part of the story.

In “The Best Man Holiday” it’s been years since the college friends have spent any time together and are gathering at Lance and Mia’s (Morris Chestnut and Monica Calhoun) beautiful home to celebrate the holidays together. All the happy reminiscing turns to drama and then to sorrow as the natural things that happen in life come to pass for the characters.

While this movie is an emotional roller coaster filled with laughs and heartache, it will bring you to tears either way and remind you that the true meaning of the holidays is more than gift-giving but loving one another the best you can while you can.
