GGB’s 25 Days of Christmas Watch List: Office Christmas Party

I haven’t worked too many jobs that left me in the typical office building setting, so I haven’t been to any work parties, but if I ever go to one I would want it to be like the one in the 2016 film “Office Christmas Party.”

Clay Vanstone (T.J. Miller) runs the Chicago branch of a failing tech company. The CEO of the company Carol Vanstone aka Clay’s sister is set to shut down the branch, but Clay isn’t going down without a fight. Along with his co-workers (Jason Bateman, Olivia Munn, and Kate McKinnon), Clay is convinced he can save the branch and the company if they land VIP client Walter Davis (Courtney B. Vance). How could do they attempt to land him? Throw an epic holiday office party to show Davis this is the type of company he wants to do business with.

“Office Christmas Party” is a new addition to my Christmas watch list having just viewed it for the first time the other day. When I tell you I was cracking up the whole time I mean it. This movie is so funny and diverges from the typical holiday movie. It’s not all holiday cheer and believing it’s turning up and letting loose after busting your ass all year long and having an epic time with your co-workers. Jillian Bell, Rob Corddry, Vanessa Bayer, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Randall Park, Abbey Lee, Sam Richardson, Karan Soni, and Jamie Chung make up the rest of this standout cast. Where to watch: Hulu Premium Subscription, FX on demand, ABC on demand
