‘Saturday Night Live’ Perfectly Parodies TikTok

Over the weekend Billie Eilish pulled double duty as the host and musical guest for Saturday Night Live. One sketch in particular perfectly summed up the social media video app TikTok.

TikTok is known for trendy videos that run from 15 seconds to three minutes, originated by the Chinese company ByteDance, users posts videos spanning pranks, stunts, tricks, jokes, dance challenges, tutorials, impressions, and more. It’s good for mindlessly scrolling and SNL nailed it with the sketch over the weekend.

It started with a kid receiving a text from her dad to take the trash out, ignoring it the kid scrolls through popular style TikTok videos like viral dances, movie trailer reactions, day in the life, and more. If you have ever been on the social media site then you know how spot-on this is.
