GGB’s 25 Days Of Christmas Watch List: Dash & Lily

Christmas is such a romantic holiday to me. This can be the time of year when you introduce your significant other to your family or when you fall in love for the first time. Combined with the lights and the music, Christmas really can provide a love letter to those who choose to accept it. Netflix’s 2020 series Dash & Lily provides all the holiday feels you can handle.

Austin Abrams stars as Dash, a cynical Christmas hater, who collides with the delightful Christmas lover Lily played by Midori Francis. The pair embark on a holiday journey through a red notebook left at special spots all over New York City. Christmas in New York alone creates a magical atmosphere. Throw in a love story and you get “Serendipity” for the young adult generation.

I binged this show last year and although I know I loved every minute of watching I’m a bit foggy on the details as writing this, so at some point, during the holiday season, I’ll be running this series back. I do remember there was a scene that featured my favorite Christmas song of all time (Nat King Cole’s “The Christmas Song”) and for that simple reason, this will always be on my Christmas watch list.
