GGB’s 25 Days Of Christmas Watch List: Better Watch Out

Today’s item on GGB’s 25 Days Of Christmas Watch List will take you into my favorite movie genre…Horror! I saw this movie last year for the first time and it’s been one that stayed on my mind.

In “Better Watch Out” Luke’s (Levi Miller) parents are going out to a Christmas party and his usual babysitter, Ashley (Olivia DeJonge) is coming over. Luke (12!!!) thinks he has a chance with Ashley (she’s about to move away for college) and chats with his pal Garrett (Ed Oxenbould) about his plan to make his move. Just when you think this film is going one way it goes left, then right, then left again. What a thrill ride this was.

For some Christmas is not a happy time of year. The traditional sparkly holiday movie is not their cup of tea and maybe that’s why Christmas Horror was invented. I have plenty of Horror holiday movies to recommend in the upcoming weeks, so stay tuned for that. What I love about “Better Watch Out” is one of the reasons I enjoy Horror so much. While I can be on the edge of my seat I still find many comedic moments throughout. The Luke character in this film is absolutely nuts and when I say that I mean such an entertaining character to watch. If you want a holiday film minus the over-the-top holiday cheer then this is the film for you. Where to watch: Prime Video, Tubi, and Pluto TV
