Ethan Hawke Transform Into A Creepy, Sadistic Killer in ‘The Black Phone’

“The phone is dead. And it’s ringing.”

In the upcoming horror thriller from Blumhouse, Ethan Hawke transforms into an incredibly creepy serial killer in “The Black Phone.”

A young boy, Finney Shaw (Mason Thames), is taken by The Grabber (Hawke) and trapped in a soundproof basement with an out-of-service black phone. Finney starts to receive phone calls from The Grabber’s previous victims who come to his aid to make sure he won’t become another casualty. Meanwhile, the police and Finney’s friend are doing what they can on the outside to rescue Finney before it’s too late.

I will say this concept has me very intrigued, but once again the trailer left very little to the imagination. It laid out the whole damn movie. What else could possibly happen? We’ll see. “The Black Phone” comes to theaters on February 4, 2021.
