‘Clickbait’On Netflix Is The Next Show You Should Binge Watch

Netflix does a bad job at dropping great shows with little to no promotion. It’s usually thanks to social media that I stumble on a new show from the streaming service. That’s how I came to discover Clickbait. The show was trending on Twitter and I clicked on the hashtag. I then went to IMDb to get a synopsis and I was on board without even seeing the trailer.

Clickbait stars Adrian Grenier as family man Nick Brewer who is kidnaped and becomes the victim of a viral video that promises he will die when the views hit 5 million. His family along with the police race to find Nick and who is responsible for the crime. As the story progresses everything is not what it appears.

The series is 8 episodes long and runs for 6 hours and 8 minutes total, so it’s a quick binge. Each episode follows a different character’s perspective as more secrets get uncovered and the mystery of who Nick really is gets more complex until the very end. I admit this show had me on edge EACH episode and just when you think the story was going one way it went in another direction. I will say I wasn’t super satisfied with the ending, but the more I think about it I guess it wasn’t that bad.

Zoe Kazan, Betty Gabriel, Phoenix Raei, Camaron Engels, Jaylin Fletcher, Ian Meadows, Elizabeth Alexander, Abraham Lim, Becca Lish, and Jessica Collins also star in show streaming now only on Netflix.
