Jenna Ortega Has Been Cast As Wednesday Addams In The Tim Burton Live Action Netflix Series

Tim Burton’s upcoming Netflix live-action series Wednesday has found its leading lady.

Wednesday will be an 8-episode scripted young adult series that will follow Wednesday Addams as a student at Nevermore Academy while mastering her growing psychic abilities, trying to prevent a killing spree, and discovering secrets of her parental lineage. Wednesday got a lot going on.

You season 2 actress Jenna Ortega has been cast as the young lady notoriously dressed in black and shared the news on social media. On Instagram Ortega posted a photo of herself holding a script for the live-action series with the caption, “New chapter. Hope I can do Wednesday Addams justice. *snaps twice*.”

Since the series is still in the early stages of production it will be a long time for us to see the final product.
