XoXo: Cosmopolitan Shares The First Look At HBO Max’s ‘Gossip Girl’ Cast

Greetings Upper East Siders. Glambergirlblog here and do I have a hot tip for you. It seems Cosmopolitan has the inside scoop on the cast of HBO Max’s Gossip Girl . Can what they lack in headbands be made up for another iconic fashion accessory? This summer we’ll find out. You know you love me. xoxo.

Now that I got my inner GG out of my system, let’s get into this cast. Kristen Bell will be back to voice the iconic Gossip Girl, but that’s it for the OG’s. (Maybe) The reboot series is set eight years after the original and will still follow a group of New York private school students and how their lives are documented through a social media platform, but in this day influencers are an essential component and I feel it might be too much of how actual social media is now. I don’t like that.

One major thing is how diverse this cast is from the original. Jordan Alexander, Evan Mock, Savannah Smith, Emily Alyn Lind, Whitney Peak, Eli Brown, Thomas Doherty, Zión Moreno and Tavi Gevinson are the new faces that just might become household names once the series drops this summer. Joshua Safran, the creator of the rebooted series, says the show will premiere in July on the streaming service so that gives us OG GG fans some time to brace ourselves for what’s to come.

I adore Gossip Girl and do a full series re-watch often. While I’m still on the fence with this reboot; I’m still going to give this a chance when it drops. I’m going to need a trailer soon though to ease my anxiety.
