The End of a Brief Era: ‘Pose’ Releases The Trailer For The Third and Final Season

FX Network’s beloved series Pose may be coming to an end, but it’s going out with a bang!

In early March it was announced that the series would be ending with its third season. Because of the pandemic new episodes got pushed way back. Was the pandemic a cause for the show to end so early? Who knows, but hopefully the final season will have a satisfying arc for the characters.

Fast forwarding to 1994, Pose season 3 deals with the prominent AIDS crisis and how it specifically affects the gay and transgender community. Blanca (Mj Rodriguez) is a nurse’s aide and is seeing how AIDS is killing her community up close as well as balancing her personal life as a house mother and a booming love life. Pray Tell (Billy Porter) is coming to terms with his diagnosis and what legacy he will leave behind. The trailer also highlights Angel (Indya Moore) and Lil Papi’s (Angel Bismark Curiel) wedding and the evolution of ballroom culture.

Pose season 3 premieres Sunday, May 2 on FX.
