For the longest time, fans of the 1997 Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” have been asking one question: why isn’t the movie available anywhere to stream? I’ve been asking that, but also wondering what’s up with the soundtrack available to stream as well? Good things do happen if you wait and the wait is OVER!
Last week Disney+ revealed that “anything is possible” and Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” would be coming to the streaming service on Friday, February 12. The 1997 version, aka the best version, of “Cinderella” starring Brandy, Whitney Houston, Bernadette Peters, Veanne Cox, Natalie Desselle Reid, Paolo Montalban, Jason Alexander, Whoopi Goldberg, and Victor Garber is NOW on Disney+. Yay!
To celebrate the arrival Todrick Hall did what he does best; create a medley of music along with a captivating visual to match which he executive produced, directed, and choreographed. With help from Cinderella herself aka Brandy, Todrick and the singer-actress took a trip down memory lane transporting fans of the film right back into the feel good vibes of the movie. There were even some more special guests included in the video and I may or may have not shed a little tear.
Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” is now available to stream on Disney+.
