The holiday season is upon us and Santa is getting many letters from kids and grown ups across the world asking for what they want for Christmas. Stu is one of those people.
In a hilarious Saturday Night Live sketch host for the weekend Jason Bateman served as Santa and SNL cast member Pete Davidson played a very pivotal role as Stu, a nod to Eminem’s “Stan” music video about an obsessed fan.
Stu is writing to Santa about wanting a PS5 and about how loyal he’s been to him over the years. The sketch perfectly encapsulates the vibe of the “Stan” music video and even brings in the time Eminem performed with Elton John during the 2001 Grammys. If you stick around to the very end you’ll get a very nice surprise. I loved everything about this. Kudos to the writer’s of this sketch.
Watch Pete Davidson play Stu in the very funny SNL clip below and if you need references to why this sketch is so iconic I’ve included those below as well. Share your thoughts in the comments.
