Teyana Taylor, H.E.R., Erykah Badu, and Brandy ‘Wanna Be Down’ In BET’s Hip Hop Awards Cypher

One thing the BET Hip Hop Awards is going to deliver is a viral cypher. The 2020 award ceremony aired this week (October 27) and in the past the cypher has been the best part about the Hip Hop Awards for me. When I think back Eminem’s 2017 cypher comes to mind along with The Real Husbands of Hollywood’s hilarious 2013 one. Now this ladies 2020 version will be living in my head rent free.

Rapping to the tune of Brandy’s “I Wanna Be Down,” the B7 artist was joined by Teyana Taylor, H.E.R., and Erykah Badu to spit verses on everything that ranged from sexuality, being a queen, police brutality, and more. I couldn’t help but nod my head to the vibe the entire video. Now get this on iTunes ASAP.
