Grab Your Books and Give Yourself A Look: The ‘Saved By The Bell’ Reboot Comes To Peacock Soon

School’s back in session, but it may not be the Bayside you remember. Peacock, NBC’s streaming service, is bringing back Saved By The Bell for a new generation next month.

Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar) has grown up and is now governor of California. In an attempt to save face after closing a bunch of low-income high schools he proposes a plan that will send the kids from the closed down schools to well-funded institutions. One of those schools is Bayside. The kids are privileged and are in for a rude awakening when the new students inhabit their school. Zack’s son Mac (Mitchell Hoog) is one of those kids along with Jessie’s (Elizabeth Berkley) son Jamie (Belmont Cameli). Oh and Slater (Mario Lopez) is a gym teacher. The only thing that’s saving this reboot is the OG cast being apart of it, but from the trailer I’m not hyped. I may give it a one episode try.
