Ariana Grande Becomes POTUS In Her Music Video For New Single ‘Positions’

AG 6 is coming! If you don’t speak Ariana Grande fan then that means the sixth studio album from the pint size pop princess is about to be released and as a fellow Arianator I’m hyped! Before we get the album we have to get a single right?

On October 7th, Grande shared on twitter that she was turning in mixes for an album and encouraged her fans to vote early. A week later she shared that a new album would be released this month sending her loyal following into a frenzy.

A few days later she wrote “Positions” on a keyboard announcing her first single, which would later be revealed as the title for her new album. The single is not exactly what I was thinking from the title, but it’s about switching up her role for her man. The visual gets more political. Grande takes over The White House as the president, but I would have loved a different concept. I listened to the song for the first time as I watched the video and I wasn’t immediately on board. I didn’t hate the song, but it’s not her strongest first single from an album. After listening a few more times I found myself liking it more.

This is a good indication of what the full album will sound like though. Not too popish, but the R&B Grande I like. Can’t wait.

Ariana Grande’s sixth studio Positions releases next Friday, October 30th. Talk about a spooky season treat.
