Go Back to the Slasher Film Era With Screen Junkies ‘Scream’ Honest Trailer

It’s not Spooky Season unless you mention one of the biggest horror franchises that revamped the genre and inducted itself into the slasher film era.

In 1996 Wes Craven’s “Scream” premiered and shook up everything when it came to scary movies. Woodsboro was the backdrop for Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) being terrorized by a serial killer in a Ghostface mask out for revenge; unbeknownst to her at the time. The film jump started a series of three follow up films, a television series, and a recently announced fifth installment that’s currently shooting. Campbell will be reprising her role as well as Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers and David Arquette as Dewey Riley. Dylan Minnette, Jenna Ortega, and Jack Quaid are among the new blood joining the cast, but back to “Scream.”

Screen Junkies released a new Honest Trailer depicting all the horror movie troupes “Scream” touched on breaking down the characters, the plot, and the spin offs along the way.
