Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion Give The Girls A Sexually Liberated Track With ‘WAP’

Leave it to Cardi B to shake up the internet with some super sexy content. Her new single “WAP” featuring rapper Megan Thee Stallion took over social media for the better part of the weekend since the release on Friday.

Many were putting out theories what “WAP” meant before the track dropped and were shocked and equally amused to find out it was an acronym for wet ass Pu$$y. Very raunchy, but if you listened to any of Cardi B’s past music and follow her on social media then you know she’s always been open about her sexuality and while it may not be everyone’s style, she has remained true to the that throughout her rise to fame.

It’s not too much more detailed needed about the song. From the title alone you know it’s about sex. In the music video Cardi and Megan splash around in water, twerk in a Willy Wonka Factory, and explore a glammed “Beetlejuice” afterlife mansion with cameos from Normani, Mulatto, Rubi Rose, Sukihana, and Rosalia but the most talked about feature came from Kylie Jenner. Many were questioning her presence in the video and some even signed a petition to have her removed. People are nuts. Another controversy surrounding the track is due to the graphic nature. Men were appalled that women were owning their sexuality so boldly supporting the track saying it was setting women back (*eye roll*). What a double standard.

The video is cute and definitely makes up for the song for me. I don’t hate it, but I don’t like it. The jokes and memes have been better than the song to me. One running joke in particular is that anyone could have replaced Kylie’s appearance in the video. Someone mentioned Viola Davis which is insanely funny, but she hopped on the joke and well just look.

Watch Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion in the spicy music video for “WAP” in the clip below along with the explicit version of the track. Are you feeling this colloboration? Let me know in the comments.
