Liz Feldman’s Netflix series Dead To Me is coming to an end. On Monday it was announced that the dark dramedy would be getting a third and final season, but it won’t be the end of Feldman’s partnership with the streaming service; she signed a deal to create new content for Netflix.

Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini star in the series about two women who form an unlikely friendship rooted in grief, secrets, and eventually a mutual understanding of survival. Season one premiered on Netflix in May 2019 with the next season debuting the following year, same month. Dead To Me is truly is a untapped gem on Netflix. I’m glad the show will go off on a high note and will have an opportunity to wrap up the series properly knowing it will be going into the final season.

Because of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic there is no word on when the series will go into pre-production, but some people from the show are still sharing their anticipation for what’s to come. Christina Applegate shared on Twitter, “I will miss these ladies. But we felt this was the best way to tie up the story of these women. Thank you to all the fans. We will be getting back to work when it is safe to do so. Much love.”

Creator Liz Feldman shared on Twitter as well posting, “Thrilled to keep working with @1capplegate & @lindacardellini and our amazing writers, cast & crew for one more season! @deadtome has been and continues to be the most creatively & personally fulfilling experience of my life. Profoundly grateful for all of it. 💙”
