Hello Glambergirlblog readers,
I hope this blog post finds you well despite the tumultuous times that 2020 has been. Here we are entering the seventh month of the year and I’m a glass half full kind of gal, so I believe God can turn anything around. Don’t “cancel 2020” because we are very much still in the midst of it. Take time away from the madness often to nurture your mental health and celebrate any small wins in your life or surrounding your inner circle. You should not feel bad about not wanting to center your life around pain and sadness.
After a month of not even thinking about blogging I’m back feeling creatively refreshed. Now and moving forward I want to get back to the root of why I started my site in the first place. I didn’t have a space or was given an extended opportunity to write about pop culture so I created my own lane. Over the process of finding my perfect niche and discovering my writing voice I realized what I really wanted was to find a community of pop culture lovers whose interests aligned with mine no matter their background and have a space where we could shoot the shit about our obsessions with television and film. Basically a more intense message board. (Man oh man do I miss IMDb’s message boards.)
Over the next couple of days get ready for content overload. I have bookmarked and jotted down some things that I wanted to share on my site when I was ready to write again and that time is now. Thank you to all who have stuck with my site over the past nine years it has been in existence. Engaging with my audience is truly the best part of all of this for me. I hope you stick around for what I have coming up.
Always, Amber xoxo
