WTF Is Actually Happening In The New ‘Tenet’ Trailer?

Prepare to have your mind completely bent and stretched trying to wrap your mind around what is actually going on in the new “Tenet” trailer.

“Tenet” will open the right doors and the wrong ones to. Whatever that means. Written and directed by Christopher Nolan (“Inception,” “Dunkirk,” “Memento”), IMDb describes the plot as “Armed with only one word — Tenet — and fighting for the survival of the entire world, the Protagonist journeys through a twilight world of international espionage on a mission that will unfold in something beyond real time.” Again, whatever that means.

John David Washington plays the main character with Michael Caine, Clémence Poésy, and Robert Pattinson all having key roles in the film as well. The new trailer is just as confusing as the first one released back in December. The idea of time is suspended and things that haven’t happened yet can be prevented because the evidence of the aftermath is somehow present. I’m confusing myself even writing this. However I love “Inception,” one of my favorite films, and I love Robert Pattinson, so I’m in.

Despite theaters being closed now, “Tenet” is expected to be released July 17, 2020. Stay tuned if that dates changes.
