Get Your First Look At Season 2 Of ‘The Politician’ Coming Soon To Netflix

Ryan Murphy, Ian Brennan, and Brad Falchuk (the iconic trio behind hit shows like American Horror Story, Glee, and Scream Queens) are bringing back another season of the Netflix Original series The Politician. Where have I been because I had no idea a second season was green lit let alone that it was shot and will be coming to the streaming service next month.

In the first season of The Politician viewers took a journey inside the dark, twisted, and conniving world of high school politics, but things are about to get even more heated. Payton Hobart’s (Ben Platt) biggest goal in life is to be President of the United States, but first he started as running for President of Saint Sebastian High School. Picking the right running mate, choosing a political platform, and maintaining a certain public image all played into the high jinks that occurred in the premiere season last year.

During the final episode of season one we meet Dede Standish (Judith Light) and Hadassah Gold (Bette Midler) – two power players in the politics game about to get a running mate they didn’t expect; Hobart. Payton and his crew (Zoey Deutch, Julia Schlaepfer, Laura Dreyfuss, Theo Germaine, and Rahne Jones) are coming for the New York State Senate seat. This team who was once on opposing sides are coming together and just might have what it takes to get Dede out of office.

The First look teases the cast brainstorming what looks like will be a cutthroat campaign.
