The era of reboots is not going away no time soon and the 90’s are coming back for a new generation to embark on all the glory of the decade that was all that.

Peacock, the upcoming subscription video on demand streaming service by NBCUniversal, released the first teaser trailer for the reboot of Saved By the Bell and well, you just got to watch it. The premise of the series follows California governor Zack Morris (Mark-Paul Gosselaar), Ok, implementing a program that sends low-income high school students to Bayside High. This is an obvious attempt to add diversity to the series that lacked it in the original. Lisa Turtle (Lark Voorhies) was the only black girl in the show and she wasn’t even asked to be in the reboot, but that’s another discussion.

In the teaser, series alums Mario Lopez and Elizabeth Berkley (A.C. Slater and Jessie Spano) appear and I must admit it did give me some feels. In the show Lopez is a gym teacher at Bayside and Berkley has a son that is the nemesis of the Morris’ kid.

Saved By the Bell is slated to have 10 episodes and is expected to debut this year.
