Rapper Drake is no stranger to viral dance songs. His 2018 Scorpion “In My Feelings” track started the “keke dance” in large part to comedian Shiggy. With all of us being stuck in our homes with no where to go and TikTok being all the rage currently, Drake created “Toosie Slide.”

“It go right foot up, left foot slide. Left foot up, right foot slide. Basically I’m sayin’ either way we ’bout to slide, aye. Can’t let this one slide,” simply instructions right? Direcetd by Theo Skudra, in the music video Drake tours his lavish home, which is beautiful I must add, while he raps the song and shows us exactly how to do the Toosie Slide.

When the song dropped on Friday many didn’t like the song while some vibed with the track clearly made for the TikTok craze. If you’re not familiar, the app TikTok allows users to get creative with short-form videos similar to Vine, if you remember that. The most popular TikTok videos are ones that re-imagine already existing audio that users recreate some how or what’s been deemed as TikTok dances. Doja Cat‘s “Say So,” K CAMP’s “Lottery (Renegade),” and Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage” all had viral dances everyone can’t stop doing thanks to TikTok. Drake’s “Toosie Slide” might be next up.
