Sarah Paulson stans are rejoicing and already starting an Oscar buzz campaign after viewing the trailer for her upcoming film “Run.”
Paulson stars as Diane Sherman who in the first seconds of the trailer is dealing with one thing any mother fears, something bad happening to their baby. I didn’t get the feeling that the baby died, but was extremely premature. That could be apart of the big twist this movie has though. I just know it’s going to have one. Fast forward to years later and Diane now has a teen daughter Chloe (Kiera Allen) who is home schooled and is at the mercy of her mother who does everything for her.
Chloe starts to question who her mother really is and the intentions she has for her that will reveal a “dark secret.” Immediately people started to drawn comparison to The Act and the real life Munchausen syndrome by proxy case of Gypsy and Dee Dee Blancharde. To be honest I feel like that’s exactly what this movie will be about and I’m hoping there is more than that because I do enjoy Sarah Paulson. I know she’s going to be crying a bunch and screaming a bunch and isn’t that why we love Sarah in the first place. I’m still debating if I’ll see this movie in theaters, but I’ll let it marinate.
“Run” comes to theaters just in time for Mother’s Day on May 8, 2020.
