‘Good Girls’ Is NBC’s Best Series I Didn’t Know I Should Be Watching

I feel some type of way that nobody told me about Good Girls on NBC. I feel like I kind of saw promos for the show in the past and paid it no mind, but since seasons 1 and 2 are on Netflix it kept appearing at the top of my feed as a show I would like. The opportunity to interview an actress from the show was presented to me (Stay tuned for that) so I had to do my research and watch the series. Now…I’M OBSESSED!

In a nut shell the series is about three suburban friends: a Stepford type housewife named Beth Boland (Christina Hendricks) whose cheating husband has led her family into debt, single mother Annie Marks (Mae Whitman) who’s Beth’s sister and in the midst of a custody battle with her ex, and Ruby Hill (Retta) loyal wife and mother of two who has a sick daughter named Sara (Lidya Jewett) in need of a kidney ASAP. The ladies take matters into their own hands to get the money they desperately need for their families and all sorts of fall out happens from one simple robbery.

I won’t spoil too much if you do decide to watch how the show unfolds for yourself, but it’s filled with thrills and cliffhangers after each episode, authentic comedic moments, a hot AF villain character (Manny Montana as Rio), and a unique plot that honestly will keep you wanting more and rooting for crime. How do these writers make being bad so good?

Binge watching the show over the past couple of days has been a dream because it really is a show that you have to keep watching until you’re done. I don’t know how I’m going to deal with commercials and not having all the episodes all at once, but I can tell you where I’ll be on Sunday.

Seasons 1 and 2 of Good Girls is streaming now on Netflix. Season 3 premieres this Sunday, February 16 at 10pm on NBC.

(SPOLIERS AHEAD) Watch the trailer for Good Girls season 3 in the clip below. Do you watch the show and are obsessed like me? Is this the type of show you would be into? Share your thoughts in the comments.
