Joe Is Cleaning Up The Past and Creating More Mayhem In ‘You’ Season 2 Official Trailer

The power streaming services have. I came off my creative hiatus to talk to y’all about the official trailer for You season 2.

Penn Badgley is back as the creepy Joe Goldberg for a second season of stalking, murder, and manipulation. Since moving from network to streaming service; You is one of the most anticipated series of the year – that just maybe me though. Joe is in a new city looking for love and he finds it literally with Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti), but his past relationship with Candace (Amber Childers) is causing hidden bodies to surface and dismantle Joe’s, or “Will’s,” new life.

From the trailer and the way season one ended it’s clear the new season will diverge from Caroline Kepnes second novel Hidden Bodies, which the series is based on. Joe has moved to L.A. under the pseudonym Will and encounters a new array of people to dissect. At the start of the second book he has a new girlfriend who stole expensive books from him so he went to L.A. to find her and get revenge. It would make sense to me if Joe went to L.A. to find Candace if she now becomes that person (since she didn’t die like she did in the first book, “You”) I would love that aspect, but it’s still not clear to me if Candace is really there of just in Joe’s head.

I’m loving the trailer though. It’s giving me enough to get excited about what’s to come, but not really showing nothing. As any good trailer should. As mentioned above, since I read the second book I’m oh so curious to see how this all plays out and we don’t have that much time left to wait.

You season 2 streams on Netflix Thursday, December 26th.
