There through thick and thin and back after 11 years, the cast of Girlfriends had a reunion on ABC’s black-ish apart of the network’s blast from the past week which brought back cast members from a number of beloved series’ like: The Drew Carey Show and Cheers.

Years in the making, Joan, Toni, Maya, and Lynn (Tracee Ellis Ross, Jill Marie Jones, Golden Brooks, and Persia White) were joined together on-screen but in different alter egos for black-ish. In the episode entitled “Feminisn’t,” Ross’ character Rainbow Johnson calls her college friends in for help to diversify her women’s group. The moment was so major that a conversation about a reunion movie has been circulating the internet. Radio personality and author Charlamagne Tha God got the details on if that could actually happen.

Charlamagne is a self-proclaimed super fan of the series Girlfriends so it was only right that he got the opportunity to do an on-set interview with the ladies during their reunion episode. The chat consisted of the impact the show had on black culture, Jill Marie Jones’ Toni leaving the series after 6 seasons, what their characters would be doing now, and if a Girlfriends movie would be of interest to the cast.

Watch Charlamagne Tha God chat with the cast of Girlfriends about their reunion in the clip below. Did you watch the Girlfriends reunion on black-ish last night? Would you want to see a reunion movie? Share your thought in the comments.
