Harley Quinn’s Emancipation Is On Full Display in First ‘Birds of Prey’ Trailer

She’s Harley freaking Quinn and don’t you forget it! She’s an independent woman who don’t need no man. Mr. J who?

“Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn” is one of the most anticipated films for 2020 and with the first official trailer release the hype is validated. I’ve been very vocal about not being into comic book films. I don’t know the back stories or the hidden messages that may have appeared in the trailer, but I know enough about Harley Quinn to know those hyenas that appear in the trailer are MAJOR. I’m hype.

Margot Robbie reprises her “Suicide Squad” character in the first stand alone film for Harley Quinn. Fresh from a break up with The Joker (Jared Leto), Quinn is trying to find herself outside of her identity to Mr. J. In the process she links up with a new squad: Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell), Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and Renee Montoya (Rosie Perez) to save a young girl who’s being hunted by a crime lord.

Ewan McGregor, Chris Messina, and Bojana Novakovic also star in the action packed film.
