After the finale of Stranger Things season 3 with Joyce, Will, and Jonathan Byers (Winona Ryder, Noah Schnapp, and Charlie Heaton) along with Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) leaving Hawkins, Indiana; it was clear that an upcoming season would span beyond the realm of the small town if another season would indeed happen.

On Monday, September 30 the official announcement came that season 4 of Stranger Things is happening and we are leaving the area. The series writer’s Twitter page wrote, “Stranger Things 4 it’s happening! we have an awesome team working on st4 and we can’t wait to share it with you. thank you for your passion and your love for our show… let’s keep that curiosity door open, yeah? after all, we’re not in hawkins anymore…”

The teaser shows the usual Stranger Things opening title credit and then it goes to the upside down with the log line “We’re not in Hawkins anymore.” What exactly does that entail? Elements of Russia have been introduced in season 3, so we could travel back there. We have no idea where the Byers are moving to, so the story will definitely travel there. Fans of the show are in speculation mode and I’m here for it. The last season put my obsession in overdrive and I can’t wait for all the teases that will come once the show goes into production.
