A Serial Killer Defies All Logic In Upcoming Netflix Film ‘In the Shadow of the Moon’

I see Philly, I click.

“In the Shadow of the Moon” is one of Netflix’s upcoming original films that takes on a series of murders that a team of detectives can’t seem to crack. The film starts in 1988 in the city of Brotherly Love, my hometown Philadelphia. Quick side note: I’m pretty sure this is the film that I saw being made downtown this summer. I just could not crack what was being made at the time, but this seems like it was this from the sets I walked past, but let’s get back into the movie.

Philly police officer Thomas Lockhart (Boyd Holbrook) wants to become detective and begins to profile a potential serial killer as his first big case. Nine years later and the truth is still unable to be discovered with details of the case seemingly defying all logic especially time. The film states it will examine the power of time and “how its passing can either bring us together or tear us apart.”

The Jim Mickle directed film stars Michael C. Hall (Dexter), Cleopatra Coleman (The Last Man on Earth), and Bokeem Woodbine (“Dead Presidents,” “Devil”).
