We may be in the middle of summer, but all the fall TV shows are gearing up for another season with premiere date announcements and other goodies to get fans excited. American Horror Story is one of those shows.
Earlier than expected, the ninth season theme of AHS was revealed to be 1984, seemingly a nod to 1980’s slasher films. While it was announced that the show’s OG’s Evan Peters and Sarah Paulson would be not in this season (Peters) and have a minor role (Paulson), many familiar faces from the franchise will return.
John Carroll Lynch, Billie Lourd, Leslie Grossman, Cody Fern, and Emma Roberts make up half of the leading cast members with DeRon Horton (Dear White People), Gus Kenworthy (“Olympic Dream”), Angelica Ross (Pose), Zach Villa (“Honeyglue”), and Matthew Morrison (Glee) joining the AHS family. In a promo, the cast is revealed in full ’80’s gear.
American Horror Story 1984 premieres Wednesday, September 18th on FX. Watch the cast reveal in the clip below. Are you excited for the new season? Share your thoughts in the comments.
