Beyoncé is bringing her now iconic 2018 Coachella performance to the small screen with Netflix and the Beyhive is freaking out.
The streaming service first teased the film documentary by dropping the title card for the upcoming film titled “Homecoming.” Fans immediately began to get excited with Bey being linked to the project immediately. Fans noticed the same font was used for Beyoncé’s costumes for Coachella and some while later an official trailer was released.
As earlier mentioned, back in 2018 Beyoncé became the first black woman to headline the music festival Coachella which fans quickly deemed Beychella. The first weekend of the performance streamed live on YouTube and I tuned in. Bey’s set honed in on the historically black college and university, HBCU, experience as well as cultural moments that highlighted black girl magic and black boy joy. The 2 hour and 17 minutes docu-film will show how the concept of the performance was formed and later executed.
“Homecoming: A Film By Beyoncé” premieres Wednesday, April 17 only on Netflix. .
