‘Black Mirror’ Season 5 Set To Return in December With A Unique Twist

Happy October! Good things are happening in the new month already with news of the upcoming season of Charlie Brooker’s Black Mirror being announced.

On Monday, October 1, multiple outlets reported the 5th season of Netflix’s Black Mirror is expected for a December release date. Although no specific date has been revealed, last season came out the last week of December and many are expecting the same thing. I’m praying it’ll come a little earlier. Other details like casting, how many episodes there will be and how long have yet to be shared, but a very unique aspect is coming to the show that I think is very interesting.

An “interactive” component is rumored to be in place for one episode where viewers can choose the direction of the narrative by selecting from a variety of choices throughout to alter the fate of the story. COOL. I use to read books like that as a child and LOVED it. That would definitely shake up the new season in a different way.

Last season earned Brooker yet another Emmy for the show (the USS Callister episode) and brought more uplifting stories, as uplifting as Black Mirror could get outside of one – I’m looking at you Crocodile.
